A first UK printing published by Constable in 1989.The BOOK is in NEAR FINE condition apart from some mild tanning to the page edges due to the poor quality of paper used at that time .The WRAPPER is complete and in NEAR FINE condition with just the very slightest of curl at the upper edge.The Terry Pastor designed jacket art work looks very bright and attractive in Brodart protective wrapper.This copy is boldly SIGNED by the author to the title page .Basis for the very successful Inspector Frost TV series.Signed copies of Wingfield titles are increasingly scarce.
