The final play by the English author Terence Rattigan, inspired by the trial of Alma Rattenbury who, with her teenage lover, murdered her third husband Francis Rattenbury in 1935. Subtitled 'A Woman of Principle', the play was Rattigan's first foray into radio drama, and was first broadcast on 27 October 1975 on BBC Radio 4.
