The First UK printing published by the Ebury Press, London in 2019. This is the Waterstones special limited edition, which is the correct first issue with a complete number line 10-1. The trade edition also featured a strike-line but was bound with a blue cloth spine and was published after the Waterstone's edition. The Waterstones Special limited edition features a special red burgundy cloth binding, a gold ribbon marker and an exclusive extra image. The BOOK is in Fine condition and appears unread. Original cream boards with gilt lettering to the burgundy cloth spine. The gold silk bookmark is present. Clean internally. No wrapper as issued. The book is protected in a removable Mylar archival cover. Striking illustrations throughout in colour and B/W by Charles Mackesy. A very sharp and increasingly scarce copy of the author / illustrator's best selling title, which was wonderfully animated for TV in Christmas 2022.
