A First UK printing published by Michael Joseph in 1952.The BOOK is in near FINE condition and appears unread.One light mark to the rear board.a little pushed at the spine tips.Gilt titling still bright.Mild foxing and dustiness to the text block but pages remain clean and the book is free from inscriptions.The WRAPPER is complete and in near FINE condition.Minimal edge wear to the lower spine tips.No fading to the spine.Peter Rudland designed wrapper looks very presentable in the removable Brodart archival protector.The Noble Laureate's third book and extremely scarce to find in such collectible condition.
