The First UK printing published by Faber and Faber in 1967.The BOOK is in VERY GOOD+ condition.Mild pushing to the spine tips.There is some rubbing at the edges and spine tips.The usual mild offsetting to the end papers due to the cheap quality of paper used.Free from inscriptions and marks.Browning and a little mild staining to the text block.Boards remain very bright.The WRAPPER is complete and in VERY GOOD ++ condition.No fading of the red lettering to the spine.Mild edge wear at upper spine fold. Laminate a little creased on rear upper cover.Mild staining at lower front corner.The wrapper looks very attractive in the removable Brodart archival protector.The book has been SIGNED to the title page by P.D.JAMES.The ticket for the signing event accompanies this title as provenance.The third of the author's books to feature Superintendent Dalgleish. Early P.D.James titles are scarce on the ground.A very presentable and collectible copy with such attributes.
