The First UK printing published by Faber & Faber Limited, London in 1933. 8vo., publisher's oatmeal cloth with lettering in black, and colourful red and blue printed border featuring a chicken, cutlery set, fish and fruits to both boards; together in the exceptionally rare publisher's glassine wrapper; upper edge once stained blue; fully decorative title, as well as numerous chapter headings and tailpieces throughout the text by Edward Bawden; THE BOOK is in Very Good++ condition. A clean copy, mildly pushed at spine ends; faint spotting to endpapers and the text-block, upper edge top-stain (faded) has ever-so-slightly bled onto the upper margin of a couple of pages; The WRAPPER, being the glassine, split and in two sections, creased and toned, but seldom found at all. The wrapper is protected in a removable Mylar cover. Another cook book by Ambrose Heath, following the success of 'Good Food' (1932) and 'More Good Food' (1933). This copy together with the famous illustrations by Edward Bawden, as well as a contribution from Miss M. Frood, M.B.E., who provides a note on Jam making, Fruit & Vegetable Bottling and Bread Making. Frood was warden of the Helena Club in London. The AGA, which was invented in Sweden in 1922, was introduced to the UK in 1929, and this book begins with an explanation of its use and purposes in cooking before proceeding with the recipes.
