The First UK printing published by Faber and Faber, London in 1979. The BOOK is in near Fine condition with just a hint of toning to the text-block. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is complete and is in near Fine condition with a completely unfaded spine. Scarce as such. Some spotting and light creasing to the edges of the flaps. The wrapper is protected in a removable Brodart archival cover. The book has been signed (without dedication) by Seamus Heaney to the title page. The Nobel Laureate's fifth poetry collection (Brandes & Durkan A20a). A four page 'The Poetry Book Society' booklet is loosely inserted. One of Seamus Heaney's scarcest titles to find signed.
