Inscribed in the year of publication by the illustrator John Piper in pencil on the front end-paper: ‘J. Piper to J. Betjeman, 10 Nov 1960’ below which the author has also signed his name. The recipient was the future poet laureate John Betjeman. The book is protected in a removable Mylar archival cover. B/W full page illustrations by John Piper. A very nice association signed copy of a scarce title.
