"A complete set of The Commitments.All are FIRST PRINTINGS.Vol.1:The Commitments published as wraps by King Farouk,Dublin in 1987.The BOOK is in VERY GOOD condition and is tight.It shows signs of having been read with mild creasing to some of the pages.There are signs of edge wear with the covers being lightly creased,scratched and rubbed in places especially on the spine and the spine folds.Doyle's first book,published by a little known Dublin publisher in the absence of any other takers.A very small number were published and due to the cheap production and binding,the book was prone to fall apart as it was read!Scarce to find in any collectible condition.Vol. 2:The Commitments published by Heinemann as wraps in 1988 - the First UK edition.The book is in near FINE condition with early page edge tanning.Vol.3: The Snapper published by Secker and Warburg in 1990.The BOOK and WRAPPER are in near FINE condition.The nicest copy of this title we have dealt with in over 10 years.Vol.4:The Van published by Secker and Warburg in 1991.The BOOK and WRAPPER are in near FINE condition.The book shows early tanning of the page edges.Vol.5: The Guts published by Jonathan Cape in 2013.The BOOK and WRAPPER are in FINE condition.All wrappers are in protected in removable Brodart archival protectors.All 5 books have been SIGNED by RODDY DOYLE to the title page and a ticket for the signing event accompanies this set as provenance.The complete editions set of the famed COMMITMENTS series which have been very successfully filmed and have also recently been made into a West End musical.Accompanied by the rare 'The Commitments Movie Press Kit 1991':Information booklet,12 lobby cards,4 postcards, synopsis and Press information all housed in a card walletAll in MINT condition apart from the wallets which has some shelf wear.Roddy Doyle went on to win the BOOKER prize.A very collectible set and scarce with such attributes.More images available on request."
