A very bright example of the Desmond Morris illustrated wrapper, and now protected in a removable Brodart archival cover. The book has been signed (without dedication) by the author to the title page. A copy of the ticket for the signing event accompanies this title as provenance. A very sharp copy of the author's ground breaking debut book. 'In July 2017, a poll to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 'Royal Society science book prize' listed 'The Selfish Gene' as the most influential science book of all time' (The Guardian 20/7/17).
