The First UK printing published by Victor Gollancz in 1953. The BOOK is in Very Good+ condition. Light pushing at the spine tips and a little dulling of the gilt lettering. Free from inscriptions. A slight lean with some toning to the text-block and page edges. Light spotting to the prelims with a little offsetting to the end-papers. The fragile WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good condition. Some edge-wear to the spine ends. Some toning to the spine. The folds are darkened and there is some expected age related markings to the panels. The wrapper still remains very attractive in the removable Brodart archival cover. The author's extremely scarce first published work which was republished by William Collins in 1960 as 'A Visit to Don Otavio: a Traveller's Tale from Mexico', then republished again, as 'A Visit to Don Otavio: a Mexican Odyssey', by Eland in 1982. Only the second copy we have handled. Collectible
